 La Dimora di Federico is a refined and graceful Bed & Breakfast, where you can spend a pleasant holiday appreciating seaside, history, culture and  tradition. It is situated in a little town, not far from the heart of the Baroque of Lecce and from the beautiful seaside resort of the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea.  

     THE NAME IN THE STORY : FREDERICK II OF SWABIA
Fascinating person, great polical, warrior, philosopher, architect e literary. Frederick was born in  1194 (26 Dicember) at Iesi. His mother, Costance D'Altavilla, was the daughter of Ruggero II , king of Sicily, and his father Henry IV was the son of  Frederick I  Barbarossa. He was only four years old when he became King of Sicily, Duke of Puglia and Prince of Capua. Constance named the pope Innocent III as Frederick’s guardian . Young Frederick became King in 1208; during his reign he founded the first public university, he also gave a start to the Medical School Of Salerno, from Melfi he proclaimed the constitutions that became the spine of a centralized State and near Andria, in Puglia, he built the famous Castel del Monte. Frederick died in 1250 near S. Severo, in Castel Fiorentino.
